2.7 Access to Education

All disabled children should have access to education. Wherever practicable, this should be in mainstream schools within the local community. The Code of Practice seeks to:

Education related development should incorporate suitable provision for disabled pupils, staff and visitors. Any new development providing education facilities will, wherever practicable, provide suitable access and services for disabled people.
