2.5 Access and tourism

All development proposals relating to tourist, leisure, and recreation facilities, whether created by new build or a change of use are, wherever practicable, expected to maximise access opportunities for disabled people.

Tourism development should incorporate suitable provision for disabled people. All developments should incorporate standards that seek to ensure that any building or amenity created with the intention of encouraging tourism will, wherever practicable, provide suitable access for disabled people.

The Code of Practice seeks to:
