Horizontal plane of reach at waist level of manual wheelchair user

The distance to each side of the person is approximately 600mm if the person leans over and extends to 800mm in front when reaching at waist level. Behind the person they can reach approximately 400mm. Without leaning over the distance is reduced to about 400mm at the sides and front and 200mm behind the person.
