5.7 Inset controlled crossing where direction of travel is not at 90 degrees across the road

The stem should be installed so that it is in line with the direction of travel across the road.

An image of an inset controlled crossing with tactile paving tiles laid with their direction not parallel to the kerb edge, but instead in line with the direction of travel, 2400mm across the width of the tactile paving and a minimum of 800mm deep. A stem extends back from this area of tactile paving 1200mm wide, located adjacent to the push button control box and extends to the building line at the back of the pavement, forming an L shaped arrangement of tactile paving with slanted front and back edges. A white band is painted above the push button control box on the column.
