first of 4 diagrams showing elevations inside a wheelchair accessible WC. This diagram shows the heights of fittings that would be located in the toilet and on the right hand wall as you enter. The WC pan is on the left of the diagram viewed side ways on, dimension is 750mm from back wall to front of toilet seat. Top of toilet seat is between 450mm and 475mm from floor level. A small shelf on the wall close to the WC is 550mm from floor level. The drop down handrail to the open side of the WC is shown to be at the same height as top of wash basin and hinged waste chute at 750mm. There is no pedestal underneath the wash basin. The top of the toilet roll is shown as 850mm from floor level, the bottom of the paper towel dispenser is located at this height and extends up 350mm. It is located 310mm out from the back wall and is 250mm wide. The emergency alarm pull-cord is shown as 850mm away from the back wall. Other fittings shown on this wall but no measurements shown are: (from left to right) vertical grab rail; mirror; and hot air drier. A sectional vertical line is indicated half way along the right hand wall and marked as A-A. This shows the position that the second diagram is drawn from.

Diagram 2 of the 4 diagrams shows an elevation as if looking from sat on the toilet towards the entrance door. The 1000mm wide door is indicated with hinge side on the right of the diagram and kick plates at the bottom on both sides of the door. A slanting pull rail, starting 100mm in from the opening edge of the door, slopes up from 550mm to 800mm from floor level and is 600mm long measured horizontally. The door handle is 1040mm from floor level and is lifted upwards to lock it. The width of the toilet is 1800mm. On the left of the diagram are the side views of the fittings described in diagram 1, which are on the right hand wall of the toilet when entering. The wash basin that has a 180mm deep bowl is 750mm from floor level to top of bowl. The 600mm long vertical grab rail starts 800mm from floor level The mirror above the wash basin is shown slightly angled so that the top is 100mm farther off the wall than the bottom. The mirror starts at 1040mm from floor level.

Diagram 3 of the 4 dhows a plan view of the layout inside the toilet. The 1000mm wide outward opening door is on the right side of the diagram. Along the top of the diagram is the right hand wall as you enter the toilet. From right to left on this wall are: hot air drier; 450mm wide by 300mm deep wash basin with lever mixer tap located on the left of the basin; 600mm long horizontal grab rail that starts 350mm from the corner with the back wall and extends to the wash basin; 500mm long by 150mm deep shelf from corner of back wall running parallel to WC pan. The left hand side of the diagram shows the back wall 1800mm wide and contains: 400mm wide WC pan with centre line 500mm from corner of back wall and right hand wall described in diagram 2; 150mm from WC pan is the drop down grab rail and another 150mm from that a vertical grab rail. The bottom of the diagram is the left hand wall as you enter and is 2000mm long. On this wall starting at the corner with the back wall is a shopping shelf 750mm long by 200mm deep; a gap of 250mm from the end of this shelf is a coat hook.

diagram 4 shows the elevation for the back wall. The shopping shelf is on the left of this diagram and its top is 900mm from floor level with an angled support bracket that extends 200mm maximum downwards. The coat hook is 1450mm from floor level. In the middle of this diagram is shown the vertical grab rail to the left of the WC pan. It starts 800mm from floor level and extends 600mm upwards. The drop down grab rail and horizontal grab rail behind the WC pan are illustrated. The call for assistance cord is shown 200mm way from the right hand side of the diagram and extends down to the show the end of the cord 250mm from floor level terminating in a ring. On the right hand side of the diagram the following side profiles of fittings are shown: wash basin; shelf; hot air drier; mirror; vertical grab rail.
